【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverthefollowingtypesofanhydrousammoniaandliquefiedpetroleumgas(LP-Gas)valvesforuseattemperatureswithintherangeofminus40鳩(minus40鳦)to130鳩(55鳦):a)Shut-offValves,b)ExcessFlowValves,c)BackPressureCheckValves,d)FillerValves,e)VaporReturnValves,andf)ActuatedLiquidWithdrawalExcess-FlowValves.ValvescoveredbytheserequirementsareforuseinsystemsandfacilitiescoveredinthefollowingStandards:a)SafetyRequirementsfortheStorageandHandlingofAnhydrousAmmonia,ANSI/CGAG2.1(ANSIK61.1);b)LiquefiedPetroleumGasCode,NFPA58;andc)UtilityLP-GasPlantCode,NFPA59.Theserequirementsdonotcovershut-offvalvesofthetypecommonlyreferredtoas"cylindervalves"usedoncontainersconstructedunderDepartmentofTransportation(DOT)Specifications.TheserequirementsdonotapplytoLP-Gasvalvesforuseoncontainersorinsystemsforthefollowing:a)Refrigeratedstoragesystemsandb)Marineandpipelineterminals,chemicalplants,naturalgasprocessingplants,refineriesortankfarms,where"tankfarms"donotincludestorageatindustriallocations.Theserequirementsdonotapplytovalvesforanhydrousammoniaforuseoncontainersorinsystemsforthefollowing:a)Refrigeratedstoragesystems,b)Ammoniamanufacturingplants,c)Refrigerationplantswhereammoniaisusedsolelyasarefrigerant,andd)Ammoniatransportationpipelines.Exceptforsuchobservationsasarerequiredtoascertainperformancecharacteristics,theassigningofpressureand/orflowcapacityratingsisnotwithinthescopeoftheserequirements.Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffireorofelectricshockorinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstomaintainthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandarddoesnotcomplywiththisstandard.Revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.
