【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementsapplytodirect-fedincinerators,includingthoseofthegasandelectricignitiontypes,designedprimarilyforuseinone-andtwo-familydwellingsfortheburningofordinarycombustiblewastematerialsandgarbageincidentaltodomesticoccupancyandhavingafireboxorchargingcompartmentofnotover5cubicfeetcapacity.1.2Incineratorsofthistypemayalsobeemployedinotheroccupanciesincludingcommercialestablishmentsandinstitutionswheretherefuseisofacharacterforwhichtheincineratorisdesignedandisnotexcessiveinamount.Theyarenotintendedforuseinspacesinwhichflammablevapororgasesmaybepresent.1.3Incineratorscoveredbytheserequirementsarethefactory-madetypenotrequiringfieldconstruction,andaredesignedforinsideuse.Theserequirementsdonotcoveranincineratorthatrequirestheuseofabrickormasonrywall,etc.,whichformsapartofthebuildingstructure,orrequiresmasonryworkatthesitetocompletetheincinerationchamber.1.4RequirementsfortheinstallationanduseofDomestic-TypeIncineratorsareincludedintheStandardforIncineratorsoftheNationalFireProtectionAssociation,NFPANo.8221.1.5Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthoseinusewhenthestandardwasdeveloped,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersons,shallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementsasdeterminednecessarytomaintainthelevelofsafetyfortheuseroftheproductasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.
